What happens to data entered into the Release Preview

We are new to NetSuite.  Signed up for the Release Preview to see what the new release coming up will be like and if we will run into any issues.  One question that has been asked is if we put information into the Release Preview side of NetSuite.  What happens to that data?  We are guessing that once the release preview is done its wiped and will not transfer over to our live site but wanted to make sure.
