Sign someone up for newsletter through AJAX?

Hello everyone!

I have a Mobile Application I have developed and there is a place for a user to enter their email. I was wondering if it would be possible to then take the users email and sign them up for our company newsletter or as a lead within Netsuite via an AJAX call?

I have attempted to make this work and always get a CORS error so perhaps there is a different/better way to do this?

I know it is possible through an online form, however I want to keep the user on our application and not link them to an external url.
