Inline editing of standard record fields from sublist

I created a custom record Production Line Record as a Parent.  A Work Order Record is a child of my custom record. I have a sublist of Work Orders assigned to each Production Line on a subtab.  Is there a way for me to make the standard fields production end/start date editable through inline editing when on this subtab?
