New Field Formatting Options (FreeMarker Enhancements)
FreeMarker can now format custom fields the same way that NetSuite formats standard fields. This ensures that output is consistent in terms of formatting. Number, date, time, currency formats are aligned which results in less hardcoding.
Enable Features
- To enable the feature, navigate to Setup > Company > Enable Features
- On the Enable Features page, navigate to SuiteCloud tab
- Mark Advanced PDF/HTML Templates check box under SuiteBuilder section
- Click Save
Examples
- The feature is useful on scenarios where formula is applied. In the example, the standard Amount field is used to compute for another value. The computed value resulted to string type instead of following the currency format.
