Expense Allocation > Create Journal Entry > Results to Unexpected Error
Most of the time, this error is being encountered at the start of the Fiscal Year. The reason this error is being encountered is only due to the fact that there is no new Fiscal Year setup on the Manage Accounting Periods page.
To illustrate:
On the Allocation Schedule page, the Next Date is set to Dec. 31, 2019. Upon clicking the Create Journal Entry button and no Journal Entries were created. Usually the system's behavior is if there were no created Journal Entries, it will move the Next Date to Jan. 31 2020 and as no FY 2020 is setup, it will cause an Unexpected Error.
