Committing Orders
Did you know that there are two ways to commit a Sales Order depending to your preference?
Commitments may be done either through manual commitment or through automatic commitment.
Automatic commitment can be set under Setup > Accounting > Accounting Preferences. If the Perform Item Commitment after Transaction entry preference is checked the system will automatically allocate items based on the set priority, usually upon saving if there are available units for the said order.
If this preference is disabled, the user can setup a schedule to run the said commitment, based on the schedule created in the Commit Order Schedule page. You may also manually commit orders in this scenario which may give users the complete control as to when and as to what orders are to be committed.
