SuiteScript 2.0: Adding AND/OR expressions on existing saved search

Overview

Saved searches allow us to define search criteria using AND/OR expressions. In SuiteScript 2.0, N/search module allows us to create and load saved searches on our script. If we want to add any AND/OR expressions to an existing saved search via script, how do we do it?

How?

  • Load the saved search in the script
  • Define a new array
  • Push the ff. to the newly created array:
    1. the Search.filterExpression of the loaded saved search
      • Info: Search.filterExpression contains all the filters and expressions of the loaded saved search.
    2. the expression (AND/OR)
    3. the new filter to be added on the saved search
