Switch Sub-customer accounts from Company to individual

edited Mar 18, 2021 5:28PM in Ask A Guru 3 comments

Hello Again,

Part of our integration with out website we have been setting up sub-customers so individuals can use the company account to purchase online. Long story short we just found out that we have been setting them up wrong and it is not working correctly. We set every subcustomer up as a company instead of an individual. like 1600 of them so far. ?

I have been trying with a mass update and I have at least been able to target the correct customers, but switching them is another story. I can switch it appears to individual, but I need to have a formula that takes the company name and converts it to a first name and last name. It looks like it can be done with the formula "TRUNC(n1 [, n2 ])" but I don't know n1, or n2 to make first name/ last name.

Howdy, Stranger!
