Regarding Project Time Tracking: possible to post employee's time tracked hours as actual cost to P

Per my testing, I was only able to to post time tracked as actual cost when I posted time via Financials > Post Time.

Per SA: 31863, it says "When the time is posted, journal entries are created to account for the cost in your general ledger"

So would like to check if it's possible to post employee's hours as actual cost to Project Budget without really "posting" time and creating JE?
