is there a hot key to display a drop-down list?

Hi,

I'm wondering if there's an existing hot key that when my cursor is positioned in a field that's a drop down list and I hit the hot key that the drop-down list would display? Otherwise I have to reach for the mouse to click the drop-down list pyramid/double chevron to display the list. This would be a huge time-saver!
