Do Not Include Kit Component Cost in a Sales Order

edited Oct 27, 2021 4:17PM in Ask A Guru 3 comments

We have a case where we do not want to include the cost of a kit's component for our customers.

Cost Estimate Types:

Kit = Derived from Member Items

Component 1 = Average Cost

Component 2 = Average Cost

Component 3 = Average Cost

So in our case, we do not want to include the cost of Component 1 in a Sales Order when we add the Kit. How would I update the settings above to achieve that? Would I set Component 1 item Cost Estimate Type to "Item Defined Cost" to $0?
