Updating status from the customer dashboard

Hello Community!

Looking to be able to do most of the work on lead/prospect/customer from the customer dashboard. Wondering if there's a way to update the Status from the customer dashboard? Any other tips on this would be helpful. Allowing this team to work from the dashboard and not have to switch between the form view and the dashboard view would be so good! Thank you for any guidance!
