Display Projects on Customer Record

Each time we create a project record we link it to an existing customer record. I would like to display these projects on a 'Project's subtab on the Customer record. Is this possible? My assumption was this would be natively available and I am just missing a setting on Customer record customization. If not native, how best to approach this? Thank you!
