What is the impact of disabling forecast plans in ARM?

I know that we can check this box to do that - DISABLE CREATION OF FORECAST PLANS. My question is - is it pretty easy to uncheck the box once we check it and vise versa? We have this box uncheck and found the forecast plans and the reports on them are not very helpful, so we'd like to turn off the forecast plans by checking the box. Would this cause any issue, and in the future, if we decide to start using forecast plans again, can we uncheck the box and the system will still be able to create
