How can I set eh GMCODE field like ITEM which can show multiple select and search?

I want to write a Java script in a file to set the GMCODE can show the multiple select and search areas, like ITEM..... I tried many times and tried a lot of ways, but still not work, does anyone can guide me and teach me how to do? thanks a lot
