What is the most efficient way to change a revenue account with transactions to a COG type?

I received some audit feedback that a few of my revenue accounts should be repointed to COG accounts. Apparently, this cannot be accomplished with a simple edit of the account type within the Chart of Accounts. Therefore, wanted to understand if there is an effective and efficient way to accomplish this? Since I cannot repoint the account type, is there a way to reclass the transactions?
