Why is the Parent Customer's Billing Account not showing when Subcustomer is selected?

We have just added in the SuiteBilling module into NetSuite and we have a scenario where we have a customer that has multiple subcustomers.

When we create a subscription an select the sub customer as the customer, I cannot see the billing account details for the parent customer.

We need to create subscriptions for subcustomers, but bill the parent customer for this.

Am I missing something here or does SuiteBilling just not allow this to happen?
