How to create a saved search report that pull data from Bank Register report?

We're trying to create a saved search report that will show Bank Account balances as of a certain date. The report will have a Sum of Amount column and a Sum of Amount Foreign Currency column.
We noticed that the report is not showing the correct figure for Sum of Amount Foreign Currency column. It is not pulling the correct bank currency amount for foreign currency transactions. E.g. Bank Account in MYR but the original transaction is in USD. It is not taking the MYR equivalent of the USD in the calculation, hence, the error.
We also noted that the Bank Register report is showing the amounts in the bank's currency. if the original transaction is in foreign currency, the bank register report shows it in equivalent bank currency amount.
