How can we use Advanced Templates when Printing Item Receipt Labels?

I have created a new advanced PDF label for item receipt but I can't figure out how to set it from the basic item receipt label to an advanced PDF item receipt label. The new advanced PDF label is set to "Template is Preferred", but it still prints the basic label. The item receipt form does not have the option to set the advanced print template like most forms. Any hints on how to accomplish this?
