How to Display a Pop-up Instruction for a Custom Record

I have created several custom records now and I would like to create a way that the user can click a button, link to see help on how to fill in the custom form.

I know that you can put help against fields, but I was looking for a more overall help for the form itself.

I've played around with the Knowledge Base, but didn't think that fulfilled all my needs.

Just looking for some advice and help please on which way to go.
