Want to switch from Summarized to Detailed Revenue Recognition Journal Entries
We currently use Summarized Revenue Recognition Journal Entries, the problem is that our FP&A department want to know additional details about the revenue recognition process. I cannot extract the details from the Summarized entries, what is the risk involved with changing the accounting preference to Detailed instead of Summary, can I just flip it on the fly and it changes the way the Journal is presented, or could it cause additional problems? Why would you want summarized JE over the detail?
