Landed cost estimates

Hi 

How are landed cost estimates supposed to be dealt with?

 The scenario:

 

Goods are ordered and received in January 2024.

 The freight costs are received via a separate vendor bill in Feb 2024.

 

  1. How do the landed costs for freight get factored into the inventory received in January?
  2. Can you allocate an estimate of landed costs in January and then revise the amount in Feb once the actual bill is received? How would you do that?
