Unit of Measure Question
We machine/cut our parts out of aluminum. Sometimes the raw material is a bar of aluminum that gets cut to the appropriate size of the part. For example, I have a 4 ft bar of aluminum and the part (assembly) is machined to be 1.080". From my understanding, when you build assemblies, it builds in the base units. I want to be able to see how many have been cut.
How should I set up my units for the raw part (4 ft long) and assembly item it makes (1.080")?
