Print upc-a format not code128 on item label advanced pdf

We have UPC-a 12 digit bar codes from USG. If the upccode field on the item record is empty, the item label prints the barcode in code128 format. If I enter a 12 digit upc code it print the barcode in code128 format, not upc format. This is using advanced pdf, it works correctly if using the Transaction Form PDF.
