Permissions in the Netsuite App

I have a user that has both a controller and CFO role in Netsuite. He is able to approve journal entries on his laptop with no issue, but does not have the ability to on the mobile app. Is this a limitation of the app in general, do I as an admin need to adjust settings for the app, or do I need to set some separate app permissions for the role? Thank you!
