Email Template with Dynamic Fields Error - myOptionalVar

Good Day All,

I am trying to create a simple email template that will be sent to customers when their order is fulfilled.

As soon as I add any dynamic fields, I get an error message telling me something is "null or missing." I was not able to copy and paste the error message, but I have taken screenshots and attached them to the case. I do not understand why this is happening nor how to fix it. This is a very basic template, and I followed the basic NetSuite "how to" article on how to insert dynamic fields, and I can't find any answers online - please help!
