Can you stop users from accessing Set Preferences

Hi all,

Is it possible to stop users from being able to change any of their 'Set Preferences'? I cannot see a permission in the Custom Role to remove this permission, so I'm wondering if there are any other options?

As a last resort, is it possible to script something to manipulate the DOM to disable the URL etc.?
