Which value is the correct customer-level A/R balance in NetSuite?

edited Oct 22, 2025 4:52PM in Ask A Guru 3 comments

In NetSuite, which value represents the correct customer-level accounts receivable (A/R) balance?

On the customer record, there is a field called “consolbalance”, which displays the real-time consolidated A/R balance.

In addition, you can also check the customer-level A/R balance using financial reports, such as the General Ledger report.

However, sometimes these values do not match.

For example, the consolbalance field on the customer record shows $4,440, but the General Ledger report shows $6,000 for the same customer.

We are using Multi-Currency.

Which of these values is the accurate and reliable customer A/R balance?

And where can we find the correct real-time A/R balance as of a specific date?

Howdy, Stranger!
