Vendor Centre role showing 'Login access has been disabled' error

I am trying to use the vendor centre feature and have enabled it from the enable features > Web presence> Vendor access

I then went ahead and added the role 'Vendor Centre' to the supplier in sandbox for testing.

However, when I try to login as the supplier, I am getting the 'Login access has been disabled for this role' error. Is there anything else I need to do to get this working?
