New to NetSuite | Manage Subsidiary Access by Role
In a multi-subsidiary organization, subsidiaries represent distinct legal entities within the larger company structure. For additional details on subsidiaries, visit New to NetSuite | Create Subsidiary Records.
By default, an employee has access only to data from the subsidiary assigned in their employee record. However, you can grant access to additional subsidiaries.
Here’s a step-by-step procedure for granting an employee access to data from multiple subsidiaries:
1. Using Administrator role, navigate to Setup > Users/Roles > User Management > Manage Roles.
2. Click Edit beside the role to which you want to modify or give access to.
3. Navigate to Subsidiary Restrictions section and choose one of the following options:
