Prevent Duplicate Item Names

Hi There

Is there a setting that prevents duplicate item names? (similar to the setting preventing duplicate vendor bill numbers)

Scenario: Item ABC123 exists as an assembly item.

a user creates item ABC123 as an inventory item by error.

Without a script, is there a way to prevent this?
