The following serial number are already in inventory for the following item
Hello,
Currently, we are using NetSuite OneWorld with multiple subsidiaries, and we use serialized inventory items to track inventory by serial number.
When I try to create an inventory adjustment for a specific item and add a serial number, I receive the following error:
“The following serial number(s) are already in inventory for the following item.”
Upon checking, I found that this serial number already exists in a different location under a different subsidiary than the one I am trying to add it to.
I understand that serial numbers must be unique, possibly within a subsidiary; however, can someone please confirm whether serial numbers are required to be unique
