SuiteTax Engine not triggering on Vendor Bills created via Integration (RESTlet)

Hi everyone,

I'm facing an issue with SuiteTax and Vendor Bills created through a RESTlet integration.

The Scenario:

  • We have SuiteTax enabled.
  • When a Vendor Bill is created manually via the UI, the Tax Engine works perfectly, applying tax rules and calculating taxes automatically upon saving.
  • When the same Vendor Bill is created via a RESTlet (developed by a third party), the tax engine does not trigger, and the taxdetails sublist remains empty.

What we've tried:

  1. We attempted to expand the deployment of the native SuiteTax Bundle scripts (specifically ste_ue_transaction_ui.js) to include the RESTlet context.
  2. However, this resulted in the following error:
