Thought I would share what the problem was. It was not a defect as described by NetSuite support. Instead the second report was coming from my sandbox. A refresh had been made and the scheduled report was running from production and sandbox, hence 2 reports.

I agree that NetSuite should provide the book to customers(for free). It would make up for on going support cases. No repsonses for serveral weeks, etc. Maybe NS people will take notice and provide the book to thier clients.

The same thing was happening to me. The easy fix i used was to go into the sandbox and turn off send email for the offending reports/searches.
