Unfortunately, the solution is I coded my upload file incorrectly. In other words, this was a user error, not a NetSuite error. Thanks though!

Judith's answer worked. I had to substitute "purchase order" for "invoice" on the linked instructions, but it worked out okay. Turns out I wasn't including enough detail on my previous CSV uploads. Thanks!
