Lot numbering costing method allows each lot you create/receive to have the specific cost of that lot assigned. It is not the same as 'FIFO' costing. When using FIFO costing the oldest cost for the item will be used. From NetSuite help: If you use Advanced Receiving, LIFO/FIFO costing occurs at the time of item receipt.…

Did you try removing the criteria for class on your search, and only using the filter?

I don't believe that you can create a WMS system rule to set the item status. This is a process step performed by the users receiving the items. What you can do is set a WMS rule to 'Stage' items prior to putaway. If you set this up, the 'staging' bin will have all items within it, and the transfer of the items will be…

Hi There, For intercompany transactions, you must uncheck 'use item cost as transfer cost'. However, you can easily edit the custom inventory transfer form to have the 'use item cost as transfer cost' checked, or check it with a workflow before load on the inventory transfers. Intercompany paired transactions are…

I think it boils down to the NetSuite helpdesk is designed for users to submit cases via the employee center. You don't need a specific profile. ~angela
-
I would recommend that you file a case with NetSuite support as a defect. The sooner the better. If this is happening to you, it may happen with other accounts - and NetSuite needs to be aware of the defect. ~angela

Hi there Jason, There are no dumb questions! All of us are learning, so don't be afraid to ask! #1) You will not be able to use 'item on any line' as a filter on a seach. You can, however, use 'item' as a filter in a report. #2) Within your search, you can choose a specific item using the criteria filter. Users would need…

I'm curious - Suiteapprovals is a free suiteapp (bundle) that enables you to create approval flows easily and without actual 'workflows'. The rejection reasons are saved on the rejected record, so it could be easily sourced onto a search. Instead of trying to create this from scratch, any reason why you wouldn't want to…

In looking at your screenshots again, the work order was created the same day as the new revision. Might want to check the system notes on the WO & Revision, as the work order may have been created prior to the new revision creation. ~angela
-
If you have 2 active revisions on an assembly item, you are able to choose between the default & other active revisions. It is a manual selection on the work order, when the work order is created. This is native behavior. Note that the current revision will always default, but the user may select the other revision…

I think the issue you are finding is that 'system level' changes are relative. Does this include changes to forms, or only settings? Scripts? Script deployments? Your best bet is to create a saved search on system notes, and exclude items that you don't define as 'system level'. If you need to include deleted items, that…

The Creation of 1099's within NetSuite has been deprecated unless using the payroll module. To gather the information from NetSuite for externally creating 1099's, saved searches are used. Hence, the enhancement doesn't really apply - as you cannot print 1099's from NetSuite anymore without the payroll module. ~angela

You can set it to be any admin. However, in my experience, the user that creates the transaction is not allowed to approve it. This is by design, as it should be. The point of using approvals is to have transactions approved by someone who is not the transaction creator. People do not have to enter 'purchase requests' in…

There are many 3rd party integrations you can choose from. All will include a monthly cost, usually, unless you truly do 'build one from scratch'. It will also depend upon the ability for your manufacturing system to have an integration. Celigo, Mindcloud - there are a lot you could talk with about supporting your needs.…

For a report based upon user role, you will need to review a system note search and the deleted records log. I don't think you can capture both into a single report, as deleted records don't have system notes anymore. ~angela
-
What address you use will be determined by the 1099 searches that you use. Different free bundles have different searches. What are you using to gather the 1099 data? (eligible transactions)

This might help you: he Help Desk feature enables you to manage internal cases that are both submitted and answered by employees. To enable the Help Desk feature, go to Setup > Company > Setup Tasks > Enable Features. Click the CRM subtab, and then under the Support section, check the Help Desk box. When you enable this…

Hi Michelle, This is incorrect. I am currently logged in with a different email than I used in 2019, when I originally created this account I am logged in with. I log in with my current email, and that email has changed as I move from Job to Job. While you are correct that the posts from 2007 were from a different email…

This was just one of thousands of posts I made before NetSuite went public. Posts are still there, but not linked to me anymore. :( ~angela
-
I see comments and posts I made in 2007, and they are not linked to my current profile. I sent a message to one of the admins, but haven't received any answers yet. Seems like they don't care if users have more than 1 profile, even if they retain the posts from both profiles. ~angela

If that second custom date field shows system notes, can you track down when it is being overriden within your workflow? If it's being overriden when it's approved, for example, something is affecting that field. I also suggest you file a case with NetSuite support. ~angela
-
If you use the Suiteapprovals app (free) you can set up the approval routing to retrigger if the amount is changed. The settings on the approval rules take your needs into consideration. If the amount is changed, it will trigger reapprovals. I suggest that if you have a sandbox, take a look into SuiteApprovals. ~angela

Were there any maintenance notifications for the weekend when things changed? Found at Setup>Company>Administrator Notifications. I ask because I have several clients who had maintenance in prep for 2024.1 ~angela

I do. Rates are normally calculated each month as part of monthly closing. Are you recalculating the rates during month end? Or are the rates you are seeing on the transactions themselves? The calculations in NetSuite are dependent upon the Subsidiary structure. Each currency conversion will roll up to it's parent…

Try adding 'last purchase price' into your search to calculate the on hand value. Note that depending on your costing method - the total value you calculate using the last purchase price may not be the same as the actual value of the items on hand. In your screenshot, you have the total on hand quantity, which is not the…

I have extensive experience using both Xignite & HSBC with clients. However, I've never had a client question the rate calculations. This is why I'm a little confused overall. ~angela

If the report is more than 20mg - which a full GL report usually is, no, you can't email the report. It's too big and will exceed the NetSuite capabilities. If you filter the report to a small date range, you can probably send it. ~angela
-
Ha! I created this post in April of 2007! It's still here!
-
If you are trying to send the GL, that may be the issue. There is a size limitation on report scheduling in NetSuite. Per Suiteanswer 8393: Important There is a 20MB limitation on emails sent from NetSuite. If the report you are sending over email contains any non-ASCII characters in the results data, the limit can be…

This is a new one for me. What provider did you use to determine their exchange rates are off? ~angela
