..........? does make you wonder.

is it too much to hope for? As you say the impact of even a checkbox change can be massive, and a changelog (or something) would be a huge gain for us all. The amount of resources invested by us all through the lack of this is crazy. Lets hope there is a case/issue somewhere?

"Vote for enhancement 18431457 - NetSuite should just work" Nice Enhancement!! - yeah mine are bouncing also - the ones which bounce are invalid (for me anyways).
-
We busted as well - gee-whiz NetSuite - I want to be positive but this kind of thing is REALLY bad, and it just keeps happening.
-
maybe you can get around it; setup>setup accounting>web> allow backorders without out of stock message...?
-
I will go back to my own violin.

Have got 20 external staff in for NetSuite training; at some expense, and now this is what we get when trying to log in: The database you are trying to access is experiencing difficulties and has been taken offline. Please try again in a few minutes. Embarrasing, frustrating, costly, unprofessional. The answer from support…

hmmm, ours are usually 45lines long and we save every 5 and then edit again to add further - I thought it maybe it was just us.... Do you have a script on the entry form?
-
Sounds great! IMHO though Netsuite need to bite the bullet and open up this board. The approach they have to information (such as this forum) is like something from the cold war. Really - if they addressed our issues in here quickly and effectively (which is true at times - thank you Netsuite!) then this forum could become…

Dept and Classes pertain to transactions ie. financial transactions. Not cases. Thanks Ray, So does that mean - apart from taking case permission away from roles, that Netsuite has no way to restrict cases? I am amazed by this limitation. This was basic stuff over at SF and was functionality we had great value from, very…
-
Hmmm - maybe the problem I have is that case records do not have a department or class? - and so they cannot be restricted through roles? Can someone help me to understand how Netsuite can govern case sharing/security? Thanks!
-
It's not only documents where "private" has an odd meaning. Activities have no security either. Please also add yourself to Enh 46152 - Permissions on Activities

http://trust.salesforce.com/ Like that?
-
actually - thats kinda cool. but remember - they had to do that with their mass outages for days on end. Don't quite agree with you there.... I was a customer at the time and the outages did not go on for days at a time (for us anyway) it was more like a morning here, an afternoon there. The experience has been actually…

So lets see Netsuite start posting the stats! it will be good marketing colateral if they can 1up SF in this area.
-
Is this an Ozhosting or Netsuite issue?
-
Sure would! But I guess for the US it's late Sunday night....
-
Enhancement Requests, have you all seen how they do it over at Salesforce http://ideas.salesforce.com/ Brilliant! Netsuite *****please***** do something similar!
-
Hmmm so how do you show Holidays? Public event but not shown as busy....

I'm very new in here, but have been a regular at forums for another provider and frankly I'm impressed at the NS interactions in here. Seems like most threads get replys and helpfull tips/hints from NS reps... There you go, some of us Are gentle ;) And yes that is a Funny post Evan! :D :D :D

We use POS & have several different cashiers use the 1 login. Similar to other comments where 1 login might be used by 1 temp staff 1 day & another the next.
-
Oh man, we have all been to that page....
-
and IMPORTANTLY that I am the only one that have access to. System notes are pretty handy to many users, but from memory unfortunately NS does not allow you to define different access to system notes & notes, only notes. So I think maybe what you want is a custom record.
-
17% of our data storage is custom records (we use more than 100GB) Maybe 50% we could delete... But there seems to be no mass delete on custom records...
-
I have no idea how NS calculates things. I can say for sure when we hosted all our data on an MS SQL DB in-house over 10 years it was less than what NS says our data is over 3 years. Not much change in our actual transaction data, most likely it was less. And over that time data storage has become so so so so much…

Most cloud vendors, offering 'software as a service' do allow month to month (like many service vendors), but not netsuite.
-
we use this it is excellent http://www.m-files.com/eng/home.asp I believe there is a connector to Netsuite for it also.

Great thread idea! I have an easy one we found useful straight away > On tasks we have a "Task Notification" workflow.. Added a couple of fields to tasks; 1. Require completed notes (checkbox) 2. Completed notes (Text) On a task form have the "require completed notes" checkbox checked by default. Then have the workflow…

Maybe another way would be to measure whats done.. like tasks completed, opportunities closed, cases responded, etc. Isn't that more important than how long somebody sat at a desk? Just to measure when someone clocks on and off sounds more like a timesheet to me... Even if you could, might not someone sign on, then go have…
