Intercompany Work Orders
NetSuite does not currently support the creation of intercompany work orders as explained in Suite Answer Id: 31247. This is also logged as an enhancement 336760 with only 17 votes.
This means that in order to create the work order within an intercompany Sales Order the following steps are required:
1. Edit SO
2. Uncheck the create WO for each line.
3. Save SO
4. Click create work order hyperlink
5. Clear customer name within WO
6. Save WO
And this is for each assembly item and this could be 20, 30, 40 lines per order which is a hugely time consuming process. Does anyone know of an alternative solution to this? and whether it is possible to create customisation via scripting to automate the above steps?
