Can T&M generated charges be billed to a parent level customer?

Hello,

Does anyone have any experience with the subject line?

The use case:

Company A - The company of our project in NetSuite (our current customer)
Company B - The end user (company A's customer)
Company C - The company that has just acquired Company A

Company A has been acquired by Company C.  Company B wants to continue on the same arrangement, but in essence will now become our customer on our NetSuite project (we will now be billing them directly).  This presents a problem for us as we are not able to change the customer of the current project, and as we are well under way in this project, we are hoping to avoid re-creating it.  We could potentially do business with customer A in the future (and would certainly want to maintain the to-date history) so we don't want to just change the
