Need to enter same item twice on the same quote

I have to enter an order that will have the same item listed twice with different quantities and prices.    When I enter the items on the quote it looks like it is OK, but when I go to save the quote it only saves the item with the smaller quantity. 

I need to do this because the customer is getting "free goods" which would be the 2nd line with the smaller quantity.   I can override the price if I could get it to save the items correctly.

Can you do this?
