Need Documentation on CSV Imports to Update Records

Perhaps I missed this, but I could not find anywhere in the Online Help or CSV Imports Guide PDF where it specifies the exact steps and format for performing an update of Customer records. I haven't search, but I think this is true of all record types.

What is not at all clear is how to specify the key field used to identify the record to be updated. In particular for the Customer record, how to format the Customer ID for customers and sub-customers.


The actual CSV Import form is not clear as well. Whenever you have checked to "Update" or "Update and Add" then it would be much more intuitive if there was someplace where you specify the key field used to identify the record to be updated. For example:[INDENT]Key Field: [Select from list of available key fields][/INDENT]It would be most helpful to provide a table in the online/PDF documentation that lists the key fields and formats for each record type. Something like this:
