Help Center woefully out of date or inaccurate
I'm not sure what the full changes are that were made to the SuiteTalk API since v2009_2_0 - but after following the instructions listed below found here, I wasn't able to instantiate the NetSuiteService object, and it wasn't listed in the Object Browser under the NetSuite service reference.
I'm using Visual C# Express Edition 2010 and the .NET Framework 4 on Windows 7.
Use the .NET framework SDK to automatically generate the client proxy code
If using Visual Studio .NET:
a. Open Microsoft Visual Studio .NET.
b. Create a new project by selecting the appropriate language and an application type.
c. Once the project has been created, select the Add Web Reference option from the Project menu.
