Before 2018.2, the effectivedate field in suitescripts and workflows are in 'YYYY-MM-DD' format. In NetSuite 2018.2, the effectivedate field syntax must match the format that you have chosen in your company settings.

What is Changing?

As of 2018.2, the effectivedate field must have the same format as your company Date Format settings.

Recommended Actions

[LIST=1] [*]Go to Setup > Company > Preferences > General Preferences and enter the date format you want in the Date Format field. [*]Review any SuiteScripts or workflows that reference the effectivedate field and confirm that they are using the same format that you specified in your preferences.
