Lead Lists and Customers -
Our NetSuite account is used as a reporting tool only.
We purchase lists and import them into our NetSuite account as Leads.
Each week, we import our transactional data into NetSuite and create customers. The goal is to report sales by list and also to plan marketing campaigns around the non-buyers from the lists.
My plan initially was to import the transactions and create customers. Using duplicate detection (address duplicate) I was going to merge the two records and voila - year one - I would be able to reference my lists and make management decisions on marketing expenses toward the people on the lists - which lists are the "hot lists" etc.
