Mail Merge Capabilities for customers and Partners
For an italian assurance company we created a custom record type, an email template and a pdf template.
Through the Customer Portal they fullfill a form and after this they need to print the PDF template fullfilled.
Actually they have to make a phone call to the sales manager that have access as administrator in Netsuite and ask him to do a mail merge (He use the e-mail template and attach the PDF Template merging field) and send documents by e-mail to the Employe of assurance company.
We think to use the nlApiMailMerge but in our opinion there's no way to send attachment.
