How many item records can Netsuite support?

I wasn't exactly sure what category to post this under...

I am curious how many item records NetSuite users typically have. I have had to contact NetSuite support several times and i have been given the impression that my account contains a more than average number of item records. As of right now i have 159,000 items (some of these are Kit and matrix items) Is this an unusual amount? Does anyone else have this many items or more? Is there a max number that NetSuite can handle?
