Using Netsuite for Production Activities

Hello,

I would like to hear from some of you that use netsuite for production purposes.  We are mainly a distribution warehouse but have a production process that we are having trouble managing. 

We purchase items and then sell to customers, no problems.
We have a process that takes a sellable FGI item, changes its finish, (color), and sell that as a new product.

We are using the assembly process for the production process but are having trouble with:

1. We have to pull FGI to "build" into the new "colored" product.  That causes problems if product is already allocated to other orders.
