implementing contracts in NS
The telecom company I work for, sells certain services (like internet access)
on a contract basis to its customers.
The contracts are 1-year, 3-year or 5-year contracts.
Customers are billed on a monthly basis. Let's call this monthly recurring cost: MRC.
The initial payment consists of this MRC amount + a one-time non-recurring cost (NRC).
Thus 1st payment = MRC + NRC
Other payments = MRC
The MRC and NRC amounts vary per service.
Also, if customers sign up for a 3-year contract they receive a discount.
The same holds true for the 5-year contracts.
The discounts not only vary per duration of the contract but also vary per service.
