Mass Duplicate record Merge - Max 10 per submit?

Due to bad data upload, we now have 10k+ contacts that are duplicates, yet we need to merge the data, not just delete.
When doing the mass duplicate merge, if you select more than 10 master/dupe it get error message: You can merge a maximum of 10 records at a time. Is there any way to increase this? I can't find anywhere...
If not, this will take hours and hours and hours more to complete.
