Double opt in subscription functionality issues
A very important feature currently not present in NetSuite is a standard, fully automated double opt in confirmation process in relation to subscriptions to newsletters and email announcement lists.
The way it should work is simple for both the subscriber and the operator:
- person enters their details (usually just first name and email address, but other information may be requested) into a form to subscribe to a newsletter, announcement list or other form of related news or marketing communication.
- Immediately after submission, the person receives a custom email directing them to click on an included confirmation link
- When that confirmation link is clicked, it then takes them to a screen stating their subscription to that particular newsletter has now been confirmed.
